Run to the east - documentary
I produced Run to the East, a feature length Documentary. Directed by Henry Lu, the film chronicles a year in the life of six elite Native American teen athletes competing to race in the U.S. National Cross Country Championships. The story explores broader issues of education, health, poverty, and family life, both on and off the Reservations. We filmed for 2 years, production involved story development, filming on different Reservations and working with tribal governments on rights and clearances. On multiple trips I traveled solo with a camera person and I directed camera and interviewed our subjects as we were chronicling moments in their lives.
